Question of the Day

In this inaugural season of beginnings and fresh starts, what can each of us do to make this country better?

  1. Say "Yes We Can". Attitude is everything. Everything else follows.

  5. I had posted this in response to the first comment:

"Yes we can" is just an expression of human power, and not everything that human power can do is good. For instance, yes, we can fornicate. Yes, we can legalize gay "marriage". Yes, we can invade countries on false pretenses. Yes, we can supply Israel with the weapons necessary to commit genocide in the Gaza Strip. So, clearly, "yes we can" is not an auspicious point of departure for progress.

Mr. Stegmaier deleted the above comment because he objected to its tone. A friend of mine who is very familiar with the mindset that prevails at the CSC had a different take on why Mr. Stegmaier deleted my comment. He wrote:

You tried to take a slogan meant to make people feel good about themselves and their lives, and say that it can be used for bad things, evil things. And that just, well, it just does not make anyone FEEL good. It might make them THINK, instead. Very dangerous, indeed.

In addition to that offense, you imply that sex apart from Marriage is bad and use an archaic word only crotchety old people use, fornicate, to make your point. That doesn't make anyone FEEL good.

If those 2 were not bad enough, you imply that you think "gay marriage" is bad. Now that just makes people feel Bad.

BOOO Sebonde. You can't play in our sandbox anymore!

  6. Oh good, more rancor and acrimony from Paul Rhodes.

And to think, I'd thought he'd finally given up his churlish diatribe against the evils of the CSC and its liberal approach to the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Grow up, Mr. Rhodes. Find a new sandbox to dump your nasty attitude in.
